The musical sequel to Joker, which stars Academy Award winners Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, has released a trailer called Joker 2: Folie à Deux.
Meanwhile, the trailer sparked reactions on the internet. An individual stated on X that “Joaquin Phoenix is destined to win another Oscar for this.” There’s no doubting it—this trailer is outstanding. Another user said as much. I’m really looking forward to this one.”
Social media users also expressed their approval of Lady Gaga’s performance, saying things like “I’m ready, Lady Gaga as the new Harley Quinn.”
A commenter said, “This looks promising for a sequel to the classic Joker movie.” “Wasn’t Harley Quinn supposed to be a psychiatrist that joker turned?” another person commented.
In the follow-up, Phoenix returns as Arthur Fleck, the main character who goes from being an ambitious stand-up comedian to a villain, while Lady Gaga plays the psychiatrist Dr. Harleen Quinzel.
As for the “musical,” they keep saying it’s going to be, as long as it’s not literally singing sequences and that type of bs all throughout the movie, it should be good, a KTA user commented, calling the trailer “raw.” I enjoyed how several of these sequences were enhanced by a musical score that helped tell the story.”

When Joker debuted in 2019, it broke records at the box office, becoming the first R-rated movie to make more than $1 billion.
It won two Oscars out of eleven nominations and took home the Golden Lion at the Venice International Film Festival.
